The three jellies are stuck on the bottom, I believe this is because their saltwater was a higher concentration. They need to to adjust to the 1.027.

Very neat and good luck with them. As a kid I went to the ocean on the east coast. I saw lots of coolaid coloured jelly fish. I thought they were all dead cus they did not move....untill I saw a dried up dead one.

They lasted 4 months and one bad waterchange and they all died within hours. Sorry for the year later response. I haven't really been getting many marsh messages.

I am the worse for taking short cuts with water changes. But thanks to MARSH I am finally running a protien skimmer that works. And doing water changes if not ...almost to the book. I am not saying or implying anyone else did a water change short cut.

Of you are into Jelly fish ...the show dirty jobs had an episode last night on them. They catch big ones off the coast of Georgia and then ship them to Asia for them to eat.

curious how the water change was bad. what happened?
I just did a syphon and dump. Which I had done previously. This time I didnt syphon the gravel.

In previous times I syphoned the gravel, made sure the specific gravity was spot on. This time I had gotten complacent and not perfect. The jellyfish books say you should remove the jellyfish before dumping the water back in, which I never did.

I had also washed my hand and wonder if I had some residual soap on them.

Within 5 minutes the tank was bubbley and the very healthy two large jelly fish dissolved before my eyes. The smaller one had a hard time getting food from the two big ones.

Ya the dumping of the water probably did it as a guess. It is possible that the water you dumped in was too different from what they were accustomed to. As a suggestion you can try dripping the new water in??? Maybe drip it into the filtration to give it a good mix.
