I have a question for my fellow reefer's. When me and my wife get to tomball would it be possible to get some help unloading the moving our stuff into our new place. Its not much just a queen bed fold out couch and recliner. That the only heavy stuff.

Only one person came and helped me and my wife unload a 16 ft moving truck, that was reeftopia. I figured that this was a close knit reefing family that would help anyone that needs help. Guess I was wrong.

I'm sorry you had this experience. I do believe this is a "family" of sorts and that we usually do what we can. I won't speculate on any private communication you had with other members, but I do know that between COVID, recent politics, and personal issues, I don't have the energy to do much more than handle my own business some days. If specific people said they would help and then flaked on you, then that's on them. Please don't hold it against the group... most of whom (who?) have never met you.

Again, there may be a lot I don't know about the situation, and don't mean to minimize your frustration.

I know of a great moving company that’s helped me over the past years. They’ve never stolen any of my belongings.. that I know of...

Hmmmm weeknight, COVID probably should have hired a moving company to move you in. A tank is one thing. But C’mon man you had a big ask of people who don’t know you. I’ve been a member for years and I would never ask that.

Covid aside, a response would have been nice, cause we dont have it and I get tested everyday at work or I did before I left. Anyway its all done and I won't be doing this again till we buy our house. By then I'll need help with a tank move as I hope to have a 180 or 225 when we buy our house

Some of our sponsor stores can move your tank if you choose to hire someone. Personally, having moved a 90 gallon reef tank myself (I had help with moving the actual tank and stand but rock, sand, livestock was all me), I will never do it again! I didn't end up losing much, but the process took WAY longer than I had hoped and I ended up having to wait a couple weeks for the main tank to re-cycle/stabilize.
(Of course, with what I learned, I could probably tell you the right way to do things... lol!)
