Ok im setting up a tall tank and need some ideas and/or opinions on just about everything.

Here are some pics of the tank i bought from a guy.

Nothing much more pics coming soon.
ive done the plumbing and its all ready to go.
lmk what u guys think....



i have added sand, live rock, light and some plumbing into my built on refuguim.

its looking pretty nice from my stand point.
ill update it with some pics tonight so you guys can have a look.
is it absoultely nessecary to have a heater in my tank??? im still somewhat of a noob.

I would say definatly go metal halides for the lighting. 150W would suffice. maybe a clamp on so you dont need a canopy, which would help with heat. ebay LED strip on both sides for actinic/moon

black sand would look cool since everything else is black.

read up alot on aquascaping, and rock stacking as you will need to rig up a support system to stack rock that high without fear of avalanch.

Run cheato and mangroves in the sump, or maybe cheato and rubble.....whatever u want....

I never use a heater anymore except for a few months of the year. When i DO use a heater, i grossly undersize it to make sure it doesnt nuke my tank. rather have cold fish then dead fish :mad:
