What do you guys think? My parameters look okay; the only things that are maybe high are Nitrates(10-15) and Phosphates(0.08).
The rest are in acceptable range.

Any of the other fish breathing hard? Have you considered parasites?
I think the blue tang does seem to be, but It's hard for me to get a good feel for what is considered high.

It's a relatively new tank, and the fish were quarantined before addition; where would parasites come from?

Should I do a water change, or what should be my line of defence here?

If the other fish seem to be doing ok. Then it could just be fish freaking out. It did seem like it was angry. I’d worry If it’s always breathing that hard all the time

Looks like it’s might be a biota yellow tang. A lot of them come like that. Have you noticed it getting worst?

It is a biota tang, i am not sure if its getting worse though. How long do they take to recover?

That's not hlle... just typical biota markings. Most tangs have that line but don't show it unless stressed or malnourished

Looks scared
I have had it for about a month now, I am not sure why it would be scared. Will have to look more into it, it eats well, goes for algae all the time that is clipped.
Maybe the reflection?
IME, feeding dried seaweed is critical to keeping yellow tangs healthy and free from HLLE. Your nitrate and phosphate levels are perfectly fine.
I have dried nori clipped, its usually gone within a day.

Prob just you recording the tang has her scared.

Biota yellow tangs usually come with hlle. Just seems to be something missing during their developmental phase when they are small. I would just keep and eye on it and make sure it isn’t getting worst.

The biota tang I bought had a lot when I just got it. It’s slowly seems to be doing better. The marks by its eye will probably never go away.

That's interesting; ill read more about it.

Meanwhile, I will implement silicon/garlic and try to feed the tang better.

Wow, I wish I had read more about it before I went through with the purchase.

I did want to support a captive-bred fish, so I guess it is what it is.
