I happened past my aquarium last night and decided to check out the night life and found this 2" long sea slug on my glass. To be clear, while I have in the past added 3 different types of slugs to my DT, this was definately not one of them so I've no idea where he came from or how long its been in my tank. If he came in on a coral Im suprised he survived since I dip everything but rocks. I sure would like to know what he is though.

He was about 2" long and I assume he is nocturnal. He is a rusty orange color with yellow. Pics aren't that great, but Im not sure when I will see it again to get better shots.

So, any thoughts?

Im sure he’s fine! If he came in on coral he was probably pretty small since you didn’t notice him so that’d mean he’d’ve been in your tank for a while. If you haven’t seen any mystery deaths I’d guess he’s okay

Well, I have seen a maybe or two, but nothing that screamed !AH-HA!

I may just need to stalk my tank at night for the next week and see if I can get lucky enough to spot him again.

I will say however that looking through all those images I realized just how many truly beautiful sea slugs there are out there in the big blue!
