I can't for the life of me recall what kind of wrasse this is, I'm hoping someone will recognize it..

Its a light peachy color with a purple head and a pale belly. No visible spots or stripes. It does have a faint iridescent blue that runs along the top of her dorsal fin. I believe it is a female, she is about 5". I will say she is an annihilator when it comes to crabs, snails, pods, bristle worms....basically anything. She even ripped part of the leg off of my spiny serpent starfish and took a victory lap around my tank with it hanging out of her mouth. I would classify her as aggressive. I have never seen her directly eat/nip at coral, but she will flip anything she is able to in order to get to her prey.

At one point I had her identified with some help from a few folks, but we can't recall what she is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the wrasse that I sold you in September last year? If so, I think she is a Yellow Headed Wrasse. Sorry she turned out to be so aggressive!
Honestly I can't remember who I got her from. Aside from her appetite for seafood she is great with other fish, enjoys a good petting and will swim easily into my hand to be held.

I thought she was a yellow headed wrasse, but looks nothing like the pictures I've been able to find on google.

Do you think this is the same fish?

If so, she was at least sold to me as a Yellow Headed Wrasse. The shop I bought it from is located in the Keys and collects locally. Try doing a search for either Atlantic or Caribbean yellow headed wrasse and see if something closer to what you have pops up.

Now that you said that, it does sound familiar! I'm so glad you remembered her. She is quite a character, very friendly and is always right there when I have my hands in the tank to see what edible treasure she may spot...she just has a very big, very healthy appetite LOL! I am forever replacing my snails. Only ones she avoids are the bumble bee snails.

I did find this image below that probably closest resembles what she looks like, minus the yellow. Whats crazy to me is that even though she is already 5" long and very fat she is still considered a juvenile.

Thanks for helping to solve the mystery!
