Well, My clowns laid their first batch of eggs and Im looking into what it takes to raise some fry. I was hoping you could share some ideas and pics on your phyto, rotifer, and grow tanks. Ive read several of your threads and went to many different sites but still wanted some fresh advice. Thanks.

I still do raise baby clownfish. Last time I spoke with Mike he wasn't raising them anymore.
BrAin if you are still needing more info send me a text. I thank you still have my number. From the last time when we talked about raising them.

Wow, what an awesome read on reef central. Thanks for the info and the offered help. Now, maybe I'll have the guts to try and raise some clowns. I've lost count on how many batches have been laid. I did make note on the calendar though.

Hello
This is an old thread I know, I just wanted to say my little quick story on clown fish breeding. Seven days ago I found a batch of eggs from some 5-6 year old clown fish I've had. Did't though they would be laying eggs since I had another pair of black perculas spawning. Not the orange perculas. So I was excited. Some days before I had shut off my rotifer culture and kept just one 2liter bottle of phytoplankton culturing. So I had to rush and start another rotifer culture, luckily I'm expecting the fry to show up and have my live food ready. Also have my bbrine shrimp ready. If anybody needs any phyto I have many bottles and rotifers I can also harvest some of my 5 gallon bucket.

I can just say I'm a novice, and many things i have learned are from lots of reading, I remember when i was going to start with saltwater fish first thing I remember was LOTS of reading hours many hours was the first thing to begin. By the way I'm on the West side of Houston by Memorial City Mall.
