Hello

So I’m moving and I’m in need of a window removal to get stand in!

Does anyone here do that kind of work or know of any good companies that does it?

The window seems to be a dual pane with aluminum frame.

Here are some pics

Please PM or post here for recommendations.

Thanks

They are going to have to break it out and installed new replacement window once you’ve brought stand through. That’s the least expensive way to do it.

That is a solid window it doesn't open right? That looks like a remodel window you should be able to pull the trim cut the caulk off and pull the window. The screws from the outside looks like it holds it in from the pictures. When you re install make sure you tape the windows under the trim so you don't have any leaks. Maybe get me some better pictures and I can walk you through it. I am swamped with work so I cant vome help but you should be able to do it pretty easy. Just let me know if I can help.

Yeh it’s a solid window. Yeh that’s what I’m thinking that just caulk is holding it n place.

Thanks for the insight Chris!

Very unlikely

You are removing the frame not the actual glass.

Like the others said, remove calk and screws and you should be good. If you need tools swing by my place. [emoji106]

Yep. The window with the frame around it should come out in one piece. You don't have to break it

Now that I look at it on my computer it looks like the trim on the outside with the screws going into the frame around the window is what you need to pull out. Take the trim off around the window and the pane will either be siliconed or have push pins holding the pane in maybe both. Remove whatever it is and pull the pane of glass then replace when your are done with silicone and push pins. If you are careful you should have no problems just don't force anything. If it is just a single pane it is probably tempered (look for the tempered sticker) If it is just don't put pressure on the edges that's how they break. If it is plate it looks like 3/8 i don't think you will have a problem either way.

Maybe they just want extra $!!

Thanks for offer John but I got some tools

Yeh those hex screws need to come out to get that frame off.

It’s double pane. I don’t see any stickers

Frame looks to be aluminum.

Ok well if it double pane you are probably going to have to pull the whole frame. Lets investigate!! I would pull the caulk around the brick and see if the frame goes behind the brick and then pull the exterior trim and see if I could pull the pane. It may be a remodel window and you get lucky and unscrew it and pull the whole thing. Let me know when you pull the trim and see if the frame goes behind the brick.
