I got this nem about a week ago from City Pet. He has been fine, healthy, and opened up until just about a hour ago..

He was closed up this morning with the lights off as normal. Light started to come on around 10 and take 2hrs to get to full light (current duel bars) and he opened up nice and big. I just walked by and he shriveled up and his foot turned super super dark! I don't have a QT tank setup right now and he refuses to un-foot for removing him.

Any suggestions????

It's likely fine. Just keep an eye on it. Mine do this occasionally.

My experience with Condylactis is this: A healthy one is a brown muddy color. The pretty white ones you see in the store have been bleached where their zooxanthella has died off and left them a pretty white color. If you are able to get it healthy, it will turn brown on you. That's the zooxanthella coming back which on its own is a brown yellowish color. Now with the one you have, it looks bleached so it is already stressed. Give it time and hopefully it will strengthen up for you. Also, not sure what spectrum you are running on your lights but it will need more than those blues to recover.

UPDATE:

Green tip - Happy and healthy again! It decided it wanted to un-foot and walk all around the tank now, even got over the corner overflow wall and into the drain area!

4 new guys - Picked them up from a fellow member and they are all happy and healthy!
