So I just got a new apex and began setting it up. It didn't want to connect via WiFi so I tried the wired method. Much to my dismay, I was able to connect once and then it quickly stopped working and is now displaying a solid dark red light. I can only guess that is the red light of death! Shortly after that, with several more failed connections/ resets/ unpluggs and repluggs the red light stopped. Now there are no lights. And I can't find the unit on the network at all. Sigh. I contacted support but they are not exactly prompt. Has anyone else had problems with the new unit? Or heard of similar problems?

I suppose this is more of a vent thread than me looking for solutions. Either way, misery loves company! [emoji21]

Check out reef2reef. There are a lot of people going through the same thing as you with the new Apex.

Yes. So this is what happened.....

After about a dozen emails (that were repetitive at best) I finally got to talk to a support guy. 20 minutes later he was taking my address for a replacement head unit. I got it 3 days later. I plugged it in and it worked first try. However, it is still disconnecting multiple times a days. I talked to support again and they are actively working on a beta AOS right now and updating a few people who are having problems like mine. (I was unable to participate due to my work schedule) He said the new AOS should be coming out this next week and is showing great results for stopping the disconnects. Other that not being able to check fusion occasionally, the unit is working well. It is still logging everything it is just annoying sometimes.
