I took some pics of the tank today. Its coming together slowly, but should make a nice bedroom/fragtank. Trying to make a nice take with some places to grow frags. I ordered some "fake live rock" that has the holes drilled for frag plugs so i can have tank look nice and yet have frags growing in it.

1. Tank front starphire and other sides standard glass.
2. Lighting is double ended Lumenarc 250w setup, will have phonix bulb soon.
3. I am going all hob on this tank, didnt want sump, trying to make really quite setup, going to have hob fuge with cpr skimmmer for now.
4. Seio powerheads for now, might get some kor. 2 or 3s later.
5. Planning on getting lalo live rock from dr fosters

Should have pics updated this wkend as stand gets built.

Very nice

I have wanted to set up something similar. I have always wanted an open top tank so that I can see my clams better. Clams look soo much cooler from the top.

yeah it will be all hob , might run a overflow or drill it later, but for now all hob! Trying to keep cost down and stay focused on my 215, i have a new sump on order for it from Marc.

If trying to keep cost down why the starfire glass?

I always thought the real advantage of starfire started at much thicker glass anyways (3/4"+). Can you really tell a big difference between the front and the sides in clarity looking straight through it?

for one starphire is only 40 bucks more per side and yes theres a big difference to me as far as how much better the colors are. It more that the colors are the actual colors not colors with green added.
