So I've had this guy in here about a week and he moved about a foot around the corner from where he was planted and he just slowly been resending. I fed him a silverside which he immediately sucked in and then I came back later and he spit it out and today which is about 5 days later I gave him a piece of shrimp and he won't take that either any ideas or is it just cuz he's new and trying to get used to the tank?

He looks healthy to me. Almost looks like it is trying to split. I wouldn't worry since you just added him. They are usually preoccupied initially on finding "their spot." Once he settles in, he will eat. I would just use a little bit of Mysis from a turkey baster or tiny pieces of shrimp or silver sides. If you feed them too big of a piece, they can spit it back out. And if you decide to feed it, I would only feed it twice a week at most. I have about 40 nems and used to feed them shrimp weekly since I didn't feed the tank much (nem only tank). I quit feeding them about a year ago and nothing has changed. They were the same, food or no food. These are RBTA's by the way. Non-photosynthetic nems need food or they will starve.

Try cutting the silverside up in four pieces give him only one piece and see what he does. A whole silverside imo is to much for him to digest before it spoils inside him. If it doesn't eat that try a shrimp but cut it up.

I gave it about a Quarter of a raw shrimp and it didn't take but it's cool I'll not worry. I was hoping he would open up as he was huge in the biocube at store. Thank you for the replies.

It's moved under the rock and opening up better. It's been since I cut off the white lights that he opened open a bit more, maybe just a coincidence

I rarely target feed mine. They always get the scraps floating around the tank or what the clowns drop.

I know this sounds far fetched but I have had success with printing a picture off of the internet of a nem hosting a clown and taped it to the side of the tank near my nem. He was in there within a few days

I tried taping pics to the glass and that didnt work. Tried my little girls idea of showing "finding nemo" on the ipad and that didnt work. Just decided it would happen when they're ready.

Here is something crazy though, my 6 line is hosting my nem. Its like their besties!
