Just picked up my new ADA 120cm Rimless Tank and stand from City Pets. The tank is great, the craftsmanship is out of this world, the only thing I was unsure of was the difference between standard and clear glass options and am I now pleased I went Clear. The Tank measures 46.5Lx17x17 inside dimensions which gives a manageable volume of a little over 58 gallons. Now for the help,The only thing I'm sure of is I'm going to re-use My lights from 2 smaller 30g Cubes which are Tank mount MH 150w HQI 14k,The rest as far as Sand bed or bare, well the rest I'm kinda looking for Ideals, suggestions and reasoning. Starting the RO/DI drip as we speak, well you know. will post pics and updates as the become available. Thanks

ok, if you are having thoughts on sand bed or bare bottom...what types of corals do you plan on housing? if you are going the SPS route and need lots of flow, maybe go bare bottom. if you are going the zoanthids/softies/mushrooms/and maybe a few sps route, then go with a sand bed. it will all depend on your flow.

as far as lights go...what kind of fixture are the lights in? if they are retrofits in a canopy, just yank them out and put them in a new canopy. if they are prebuilt fixtures, then you might want to switch to something else that will fit your tank's length. but we need a little more information on the lights, like a picture or link to a website that sells them...your details are a little vague.
