I am new to the Houston area and I am looking to start up a 40-50g breeder this weekend.

I was wondering what is the best store in yalls opinion around webster/seabrook? i dont mind driving to a better store.

Also if anyone has some spare LEDs to sell as well as live rock/ sand to start my cycle? or tell me a reliable store with both or all three of these

I had a 20g reef tank when i lived in Lubbock, so i am not a newbie but any tips or advice for starting a new tank differently would be appreciated.
Once i get set up i would love to see yalls tanks or buy frags from you

Hi! Welcome to the area!
I would first check out Aquazoo in Webster. Shannon is super nice and has never given me bad advice. I like to pick up incidentals and my fish love the Carnivore diet frozen foods they have there. The shop, though small, has a good assortment of pumps and powerheads, etc, and usually a few interesting tanks for sale. I love browsing their small saltwater livestock selection and have taken home a few.
Next is All About Fish at 45S and Belway 8. Kevin has many years of experience and got me started off reefing on a great foot. He has a good selection of fish and inverts, and sometimes some great Coral. Not much selection equipment-wise.
The Fish Bowl and More in Pearland is run by Carlos. He carries quite a bit in the way of equipment including tanks and lighting. He always has a good Coral selection and a decent sized saltwater fish and inverts selection. Definitely worth a look.
Those are the three closest to our area. Further out, the skies the limit. You should be able to find just about anything you are looking for.
Happy Reefing!

Welcome! I’d second aqua zoo. It’s a small store but the owners are great folks. Unfortunately there’s not as many stores and reefers on our side of town it seems.

Let me know when you are ready and I have some macro, sand, xenia , and a few mushrooms if you want them after you get everything cycled.
