D5000

Hello there,

I'm new to this thread and saw this post. I know no one has responded to this, so I thought I would chime in. I use the D5100 and I have friends that use the D5000. This is a beginner camera, but is still capable of a lot. I've taken some beautiful photos with the 5100 and I'm sure you can take some really nice photos with the 5000. If you want some pointers on how to use the camera let me know and I can help. I've included a link to my flickr so you can see some of the photos taken with the model just above the 5000.

Thanks. But I think that camera ended up getting sold it was at a Pawn Shop and I saw it but did not want to buy it till I got feed back. Since no feed back at that time I never bought the camera. But if it is still there I might buy it. Sometimes they have stuff there for a long time.

I'm a long time Nikon user - mid 60's. I have three. And a good handful of lenses. I bought a fujiifilm camera that shoots the new digital Nikons - AFS and such
and in my smart mode, use my vintage lenses from 28 to 2800 mm. Have several Sony digitals. Got them for digital images and mad at Nikon for not making a digital
that handled the classic F line. I used to be a semi-pro for AFRS (pre-AFRTS) it was before television came to armed forces radio service. My son has a Nikon 5200 IIRC.
It was the latest one out for us at Sams. Martin ps he loves it - it is loaded with capabilities and it is a bit much some times. Auto focus and steady is great. My Fujii has
only 6.xxx Meg images - but I can use my lenses. (lens/filters/cleaning kits) available on Amazon and were nice enough to buy my son one as well. Now my camera lenses
will use them but my digital microscope has a 52 mm threaded lens and now I have more optical options. Martin
