Sorry to hear. I’ve definitely lost coral. As of midnight last night still had all fish. I need to go check.

@BigRick how is it going today?

power just came on for us at 9:30am. Apparently it was on from 3-5am. At 4am I got up to check genny and noticed street lights were on. No sooner had I put up the generator and literally the garage door was 1/2way down, blink power is gone again. So had to throw the release and take genny back out.

It's rolling for me too, but luckily everything is holding up.... now the rain is coming down hard here..... im constantly switching from grid to genny to conserve gas. They're saying power outages could last well beyond the storm. Tomorrow is the ice age.

Easiest would be disconnect at fuel filter.

Put some buckets outside to collect rainwater if you don't have a pool, etc. My water isn't "out", but is OFF since I had a pipe burst yesterday... I filled an empty brute with water Sunday so am good on refilling toilets, washing hands, etc.
You never know what's going to happen with the water pressure...

Not sure if anyone suggested it yet but if you have a working stove boil some water put it in some jugs and float them in the tank. Might buy you some time.
I did that for most of the day yesterday but never raised temp. I think it bought some time like you said.

When my power did come back on for a few hours, i aimed a space heater under the sump and kinda sealed it leaving small cracks. Worked like a charm. Temp went up 7 degrees in about 5 hrs total on/off and still climbing.

If you try this of course, make sure it's well away from any water or splashing.

all this is so disheartening, took last year to build my tank back up and these spikes, etc just starting to see my sps die off. At least all that can be replaced. Hope you all and your families stay safe. These things can be replaced just saddening. This time going to have to buy a generator or something else. This is ridiculous.

Just got power back on in my part of Cypress. I’ll have fun picking out new livestock!

Safe to say my tank probably is a goner. Even with a generator my 300 watt heater couldn’t keep up. As long as my 15 year old serpent star makes it I’ll be happy.
Oh man that sucks.
