How's the Deltec North American customer service now - Back in 2010-2011 I had few Deltec gadgets - it was very difficult to get parts for skimmer/calcium reactor from the North America Distributor. Their skimmers are awesome though - works very well at almost any water level and I had no complaints about their calcium reactors.

I think you just talk to what's his name @ Battlecorals. Not sure they have NA support past that.
He didn't have any 600ix in stock and wasn't sure when he'd get them, so I had to remove it from the list. I was really leaning that way TBH. He offered me the 1000ix at the same price, which was a great deal, but WAY bigger skimmer than I needed...

The more I look at the Deltec...the more I’m sold on it.

So the 600i is the DC and the ix is the AC. I believe they’re rated for 200-600 liters which translates to about 52-158 gallons.

Should I go with the 600 or 1000 for my 75/g?

What do you guys think?

Did Adam have one to send you? He told me he was all sold out! I was going to go that direction too. Looks like a great product.

I ordered and he emailed me back and said they were backordered. I knew it already and expected the email.

I'm glad because he sold me the 1000ix for the same price like he was gonna do for you. Now I have the extra horsepower when it's needed for FREE.

I'll run a good dry skim and clean the cup once every 2 weeks or so. :hat: Should work out perfect!

That's awesome. Glad it worked out for you. I'm sure you're going to be pleased with that piece of kit. The overflow protection is a very clever piece of engineering.

Yeah, I’m happy. Never ran a Deltec before so I’m interested to see how easy they tune. There’s a video saying that it’s whisper quiet. We’ll see if this is true. I do know that Vertex (as far as build quality goes) is far better than Deltec. However, the guy that compared the two didn’t end up liking the Vertex and is now running a Reef Octopus. But to be fair to Deltec, it was their older edition. It wasn’t their new line. I will say that since I’m not running a controller ATM- the overflow feature is worth its weight in gold. I’ll do a review soon. :)

Adam says he’s shipping tomorrow.

“Excellent. Thanks for working with me on that. I will ship Monday for sure and below is a copy of the label.”

Let me know if you have any questions at all on set up or use.

Will talk to you soon.

Adam
