I have air shooting into my tank and my water level is good. I can’t figure out how I am getting air in the return line. Also it sounds like my water going into the sump is surging. What is happening?

That would be a Durso overflow, I don’t know much about them, all I do know is that you have to but an air value of some sort to control the intake of air through that little hole on the top.

I have a durso system and this happened to me when my return pump was too slow. If the water sounds like surges then that comes from too low flow, where the siphon breaks, then returns once the water reaches the rated height again. How many gallons is your return pump rated for?

Thank you both for the information that is the conclusion I came to because the water is going up and down that the pump is not putting out enough flow. Thank y’all for helping me I really appreciate it!
