Old 10 gallon Waterbox tank caught covid once the office shut down last year. Finally took it home and then it ended up converted into a Betta/Cherry Shrimp tank at the house so here we are...

Few months ago I picked up the Mr Aqua 12 gallon long because of the cool sizing at 3ft long! I turned it into an AIO with a 5" partition on one end with a small fuge and return pump.

Equip: Marine orbit 36" LED, Aqamai kpa powerhead and maxijet 1200? return pump, ~12 gallon ATO (dog food container)
Stocking: Yasha goby with tiger pistol shrimp, one small Ocellaris, a couple sexy shrimp (2F, need a M) and CUC.
Coral: Hammer, Kenya Tree, various shrooms, baby plate coral garden, scroll coral, decent size gorgonian, a couple small toadstool leathers, blasto frag and two Flower nems.
Macros: dragons breathe, caulerpa mexicana and codium sp.

Progress pics (data dump from first few months to date):

I love pistol shrimp pairings, it's a lot of fun explaining the relationship to visitors as well.

Me too! Have been doing just that when everyone walks by

very cool. what else are you planning on stocking it with?
Need to find a male sexy shrimp but petco hasn't had any the last couple times I went. I had a pair of clowns but one had some bacterial infection (including popeye) and it never cleared up even with antibiotics. Undecided if I am gonna get another one or something different.

Otherwise I am just gonna play with coral colors to try and get a variety. Looking into some sun coral, a variety of colored plates and try to get the macro to fill in the negative spaces. Feeding the hell out of this thing and still cant seem to get the macro to take off although the Codium is growing really well.

This one is probably the most inspiring although I am not running a sump so I probably need to curb expectations a bit.

Tres cool. If you put a handle on it you can bring it home for the weekend.
Thanks! That would be super convenient.

Not sure what triggered this little guy to sprout, but it popped off on its own and all 1/4" of it is just chillin. Surprisingly hasn't blown away, can't even see it when it isn't inflated and haven't noticed a skeleton.

Regardless, ill take it!

oooo.... nice. How do you handle ato over long weekends?

I bought a 35 lb dog food container with a screw lid that I use for ATO with a Tunze Nano. Drilled a couple holes for the tubing and one to let it breathe a little bit. I think the container is just shy of 10 gallons and I have only been adding 5 gallons to it every 5 weeks or so, lasts a while!

I also got this neat little feeder which has been working great for feeding.

I need some guidance yall!

I have a small ~3" Diamond Watchman Goby at the house in my ~40 gallon. Just purchased on Saturday and my Orange Spot Blenny is prepared to end this things life. Its currently in a small floating breeder box with a significant chunk out of its tail. Do yall think itll handle being in this tank for a while to heal up and until I can catch that Blenny (and feed him to my cats /jk)?

My two concerns are the Yasha Goby and the coarse-ness of the black sand I have in here. Thoughts?

PS: Tank update :) been working from home for all of January. Need to work on getting some parameters back in check, but otherwise healthy!

isn't the diamond watchman a sandsifter? Is it weened on pellets?
Yeah they are. If I could catch the blenny I would leave the goby in there.

Its eating frozen food and pellets at the house no problems. I was mostly unsure if it would detrimental to 'try' and sift the larger grains.
