What I'm Looking for:
full tank shots
individual coral shots (don't have to be perfect)
individual fish shots (don't have to be perfect)
plumbing and sump area shots if you can.
Tells us your lighting schedule, your feeding schedule.
do you have fish or corals that you spot feed?
List tank size and equipment.
Oh yeah, what part of town are you from.
Thanks!
I will have Pics up soon, working kitchen project, just stopped to start this and take up to date pics of my system.

Please don't let this fall between the cracks folks.
maybe we can do sub threads and place the links in here.
for instance, NW houston thread, NE,South, SE,SW, Medical center etc.
LMK if this is a good idea and i wil start the NW thread.

Happy Posting friends!

NW HOUSTON:
110 gal system, sump roughly 30 gals. skimmer tunze 9010
return pump is a Coralife Turbo-Sea 1270, lighting is 4 x54 watt and 2x108 vho actinic. 11am vho's turn on, 12pm t-5's turn on. 9pm t-5's turn off and vho turn off at 10pm. One 25 watt uv filter and a two little fishies reactor. I feed the babies twice a day with mysis shrimp and with my new additions i add a small clip of nori.
originally setup this tank 2 years ago, then in april after the nw houston tak tour, i decided to re-do my system, i changed the overflow box from from one huge center box, to two small boxes, redid the plumbing and aquascaping, went from a DSB to SSB. tank has being running for roughly 4 months. I'm bad with dates.

Livestock:
6 line wrasse
2 false percs
1 white cheek tang (Acanthurus nigricans)
one yellow tang(Zebrasoma flavescens)
one 2 spot bristle tooth tang(Ctenochaetus binotatus)
one Scissortail Goby
one Zebra Barred Dart Goby
one pink spot goby.
All of my corals come from our sponsors, fjw aquarium-first guy i bought corals from, way before he had the store, rock n reef, same thing. 3cc and citypets. livestock i currently have all come from rock n reef with the exception of my clowns.

Nice lookin' tank flex. I'll try and get something together in the next couple of days.
Your thread made me think about my lighting cycle and maybe delaying everything so they're on longer in the evening.
One thing I think should be mentioned is how long the tank has been up and running.

125/120 the 6' long one

My system is run by
2 DE halides one is 14k and one is 20k. I bought them at different times, for different reasons, and now I have combined them. I will get 2 20k bulbs in a couple months when I replace them.
there are 2 geismann actinic bulbs, they really make the colors pop. I got a good deal on 3' bulbs, I will replace them with 2 4' bulbs when the time comes.
I have 2 koralia 4's
the return is a mag 18.
I run no skimmer and have not for the past ...6 months?
My sump has a deep sand bed with caulerpa and chaeto. I saved room for a sump, but it became fish jail/place for excess macro to float around. I also keep my frag rack and some liverock in there.
My frag tank is tied into the sump as well and it is gravity fed. I put a T fitting off the tank's right drain. another bulkhead fitting feeds water into my sump. the prop tank is about a 15g acrylic tank I picked up at fish ranch when they remodeled. my design is pretty simple. I neglected the tank for a good while, but i started back up again with the proper maintenance a couple weeks ago. I noticed zoas were not opening and figured trace elements were exhausted as my levels were fine. My sps was all fine, except 1 death. psillapora/the birdsnest with blunt ends. I had a fuzzy purple one.
My livestock includes
Fish:
6-line wrasse
chromis
2 false perc clowns
fuzzy lionfish
non-coral inverts:
pencil urchin
maxima clam
yellow filter feeding sea cucumbers
corals sps:
blue tipped stag
bali slimer
pavona
psammacora
green birdsnest
turquoise lovelli
monti cap(purple rim and green cap, looks like a tabling variety)
purple digitata
fire&ice digitata
unknown blue sps
hydnophora both kinds
ORA red planet
ORA enchanta
unknown green/olive sps
LPS:
multiple candy corals, blue varieties
ice blue hammer coral
duncan
green short tenticle plate coral
3 acan varieties
open brain (wellso)
closed brain (maze variety)
Mushrooms:
blood orange ricordea
orange ricordea with purple edge
blue/purple
red
green hairy mushroom
green ricordea
green speckled mushroom
green striped mushroom
teal/blue ricordea
blue with white dots mushroom.
superman rhodactis
Zoas:
watermelon
gold skirt eagle eye zoas
teal/blue zoas
starburst(they are solid yellow for me)
nuke green zoas
nuke sunshine zoas
various jap deepwater zoas

my light cycle is actinics from about 12-12 and halides on for 8 hours turning off at 11:30

I am on the south side, directly south.

here are my photos. there are top down shots, shots of the plumbing, whole tank shots, and each fish.
http://s134.photobucket.com/albums/q85/coreyheathererin/corals/coral pics/

there will be about 100 pics in that album and I do not want to clutter the post with img embeding them lol... nor do I have the time.

Very nice Corey. No skimmer? It's always cool to see tanks going against the grain. Are you doing regular water changes?

i just did my first one in about 3 months. It was not by choice. I sold mine with my old tank and had a new one lined up. the seller backed out and I just never could buy one because something would always pop up expense-wise. my wife took those top down pics. she shoots weddings and does photography part time, so they are better than my pics. manual focus is about as adventurous as I get. she also had a 3 year old tugging at her elbow, remarkable if you ask me lol...
