Howdy! Looking for some advice on flow in my 2.5 gal. I feel like I could use the flow from the return pump for most of the flow needed in the tank if I was able to point it down; but I’ve been told it MUST stay at the surface for oxygenation.

Is that true? What can I do to get a medium amount of hammer preferred flow goin in here? The smallest controller Jebao seems a little much, but maybe I’m wrong.

Id say it's very true for oxygenation and preventing a layer of scum at the surface.
For a tank like that, I'd be looking at these: (Or something comparable to these)

I used these on my IM10. The nozzle added for variation in flow pattern and also allowed for surface agitation. I also really like this power head. Great price, small, and programmable.
