@Reefy when the picture does its 1/3 to 1/2 thing have you tried clicking the reload in the upper right of the screen? I was just able to get it to load on my iphone that way using native browser.

tapatalk seems to not have issue loading it. very weird.

Yes I have tired that to no avail! I also tried reloading the page in safari and it still did not work.

One thing I have noticed though if I download the image to a separate tab on my Safari (using that downward arrow into the top facing bracket icon) and then go back in and tap on the thumbnail images again then it seems to work. Also I have noticed if I tap on the image and get that partially downloaded pic then get out of that page and then tap it again it seems to load. It’s almost as if it needs to load twice for it to work.

Could be the silly culprit but so far it seems to be consistent on on my end.

@Reefy for safari try "Clear History & Website Data" then try the thread again.

I have disabled litespeed webserver cache. Curious to see if that was maybe causing the issue but would seem it would be a problem across all browsers.

I had clipped images before too. Worked well for me today though

I’d be curious what version software they are running... mine is 12.2 and works fine but I’m due for an update and hesitating.

12.4.1 on my iPhone
9.3.5 ipad2

Have noticed if I reload and use arrows to move through images it seems to correct image load issue.

If anyone is getting antsy about this keep in mind I volunteer my time (a lot of it) and have a life of my own. I have tickets open with forum software vendor and hosting provider.

Hello
This issue is most likely this: Third party - Unfortunately, there is yet another lightGallery problem: iOS / Mobile Safari sometimes crops images
One of the developers has responded to the thread but in the immediate term, there's not a lot that can done, unfortunately.

Paul

So xenforo support thinks the issue I am seeing is a known lightGallery bug (software that xenforo uses for attachments). There is no immediate fix. Its seems to be related to multiple variables: server speed, internet connection speed between browser and host, picture size, os/browser and screen size of device displaying picture.

There is NO work around other than to force everyone to use 3rd party image hosting (not going to do that).

I have been able to get past the issue with my iphone by using the arrows on the sides of the frame to move between pictures rather than using the thumbnails at the bottom.

Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Rest assured when they develop a fix or work around I will implement it ASAP.
