Since our new house is still months away (hoping September) I can only dream about getting my tank up and running again. Thought I would share what I have so far for my future garage/fish room. Using the free version of SketchUp to see where I can put my old 130gal tank...seriously doubt I am going to put it in front of a window! Or I could put some big curtains on the window. One day I will have a 350+ tank in the house with the drain coming through the wall. The idea is to drop the water into the refugium and then into the sump. The return would also feed the frag tank and the 130. The sink location is set since they already have the drain and water connections. I might still move the storage tanks to the right of the sink but since my wife parks her car on that side I run the risk of them getting too close to her car. Of course I could pipe everything over and store the tanks in the left side or I might put them in front of the window.

That white thing on the sump is a skimmer...it was only 23" and I haven't yet figured out how to turn the sump into a tub in sketchup.

Isn't sketchup the best? I use it all the time. Too bad the free version won't export dxf. I have to do a work around to get my vectored files.

You guys may want to try Fusion360 or even OnShape... both are more full "CAD" but there are a lot more things you can do with them... (like export to DXF). With that said I completely understand the ease of Sketchup to just get something so you have a visual.

Looks like it'll be a great setup for you!
