Is there anyone in the Houston area offering a full length medicated quarentine service that anyone has experience using?
The shrimp need to literally grow up a bit. The larger the peppermints, the more likely they are to eat aiptasia. Thanks for posting this.
I need a copperband that will hopefully take care of the aptasia outbreak since my peppermints died of old age a few months back. The new batch either have no clue what to do or simply won't eat them. I wanted to get a batch of berghia but my wrasses would make short work of them in the display.
They are pretty little. Or were when I added them to the tank on Saturday. Added 5 in and saw 2 milling about the next evening after light out and have not seen a single one since. The shrimp need to literally grow up a bit. The larger the peppermints, the more likely they are to eat aiptasia.
Sometimes you will get an ambitious one that goes to town right away, but my experience is they generally take a month or two to get settled and will spend most of the time hiding before that. They are pretty little.
