I'm trying to find a filter for my nono tank. The tank is 18l X 10w X 6h and that's about 4.5g.

I don't really want to use a HOB with this set-up. A decent small canister filter I found was the Rapids Mini Canister.

Has anyone used this filter before?

What do you guys think about this for my set-up?

Not really trying to do anything major in way for corals. I'm thing some low light stuff like macro algae, mushrooms, and zoas.

Thanks in advance for the comments.

i recently bought one for a 2 gal im buildin for the gf. i have not used it yet but my initial impression is as follows:

tubing that comes with the filter suck, im gonna try some more flexible stuff. The pump is a 12V pump, which would be good if running it off of DC, but requires a converter box at the plug.

the latching mechanism looks pretty sound. It has a bracket to hang it off the back of the tank that works great as long as its a flat backed tank. The included intake screen and spray bar are decent but cheaply made.

I plan on running some chemipure, and some nitrite media in one half, then the other side will be a bag of cheato. Im gonna rig up a waterproof LED setup for the cheato.

All in all, for $24 I think its worth it and as long as it works and doesnt leak and stuff i plan on buying more in the future if something similiar is needed.

Thanks for the reply man. I'll pick it up and see what's the deal.

I'm putting this on an ADA 45-F.

I'll report back with how it goes for me.
