This is an awesome build thread.
I don't mean to be this guy:

...but
Have you seen this thread on reef2reef?

Seems like there may be some manufacturing defect in the 750 stand.

Lol (knock on wood)
I wasn't paying attention to how long the tanks that had blowouts have been set up. I'm sure it takes some time for the uneven force at the front pane to start causing issues.
There is a lot of people chiming in with personal experiences of these things blowing out, hopefully it's just people lying

It’s a nano compared to my previous tank. If it does blow a seam we just move on to the next one. [emoji106]

I appreciate the information.

The stand was redesigned due to the fact that particle board was sagging over time. My stand which is the new redesign version is made of 100% PLY WOOD so nothing to worry about.:clap2::cheers:

RR-Man - is there a way to tell which "design" I have? We are only a few months apart and woner which ones I got.
I guess it is too early to notice if there is any issue. I closely checked every area of the tank on the stand Yesterday and didn't notice any gaps.

I will wait until next maintenace weeked so I can stop the return pump and note down the serial number and register the tanks with RedSea.

Your serial number is by the overflow box.

I don’t know the cutoff date contact Red Sea. Yes make sure you register you tank.

All of the Reefer 750s so far has been built the same way using the same material. The incoming fix will be provided to all current 750 owners when it’s ready and will be notified to all registered owners. In the meantime, check the front silicone for any bubbles that may indicate a failing seam.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure all 750 stands will need the fix regardless of date of manufacture based on the thread and Red Sea' s comments.
Roll the dice as you will lol

FYI - I called RedSea and inquired about this. ITReefer is correct. All 750s regardless of the manufactured date will need the additional brace.
I need to stop my return pump and see if the water gets still enough for me to read the serial numbers and register ASAP.

Thanks for bringing this up.

This almost makes me want to put a center brace on my 75/G, but not quite.

I had a 150/G up not too long ago and noticed it was starting to sage a bit in the middle without the center brace. I measured each end and then the middle and sure nuff...that middle was down about an inch or so.

I cut a 2x4 the same exact length as my end measurements and then drained the tank about 3/4 of the way. I wedged the 2x4 into position and knocked it in there with a rubber mallet. All was well after that.

No air bubbles were noted.

FYI...if you see air bubbles...you’re....in bad shape. :ROFLMAO:
