Nice! Whenever I have tried the 1.5-2" clams they have died within days or weeks. I gave up and got one that's already good sized a couple months ago - so far it's doing well.

Thanks! They are certainly difficult and it was probably one of the most stressful things I've done in the tanks. I had to target feed them phyto everyday and build cages for them so the snails and stuff didn't knock them over all the time. I started with three and lost one in the first month. I still have the other one, but it had a bunch of issues and I nearly lost it several times, so it doesn't extend as well as that one and has grown at a slower rate. Now I don't need to do anything and they grow considerably well, even the stunted one, so next time I'll start with a 3+ inch one if possible.
