He was freaking early on. Flipping around big time when I took the bag out of the box and when I first put them in the bucket. Once I added the methylene blue and ammonia binder with air bubbler they seemed to relax some.

yeah i definitely like it. helps them uptake O2 easier and acts a disinfectant (I'm assuming.. since I know it will kill a biofilter).

Steve:

Is the methylene blue similar to Ruby Reef Rally? You said you added a few drops, but I have only seen it in powder form. I guess it needs to be mixed in RODI prior to dose?

Thanks, just ordered it to add to my medication kit. I am waiting on the Ruby Reef Rally Pro as well.

yeah I have a gallon of that stuff lol...

i usually use when doing tank transfers. they get a 30 minute bath in RR then on to next tank.

ugh.. I really don't want to copper these guys.. but I don't want to risk my tangs. Trying to get them out of my display tank would be a monumental task.

Mine is just laying at the bottom of the acclimation container, not breathing heavily or anything. I think if I had a container of sand in there it would probably be sleeping.

I have a bully in the tank that needs to be caught before I take the redtail out of the acclimation container. It's a naoko fairy that has already bullied two $100+ fish to death. I won't allow it to kill this one
Though easier said than done in a 450g tank.

Yeah I'm hoping my tangs don't decide to be jerks when I introduce him to the tank. My hybrid black is a big time jerk. Its gonna be interesting when I add the yellow/purple and gem in.

The cleaner wrasse is definitely feeding out of the water column on PE calanus. The tamarin does show some interest and darts around some and I think is eating. Kind of hard to see.

I'm using a mix of PE Calanus, Hikary (Mega-Marine, Mysis and Spirulina Brine) mixed with SELCO boost, Selcon, General Cure and using Focus to bind it.

You are going to risk putting a yellow, purple and gem tang together? I would be interested to see how it goes. I only got the gem because I lost my purple tang.

My red tail still in the drip process to reach my tank salinity. I will be soon at home to see it and put in my tank. Wife told that the fish will not fit well in the aclimation box that we have.

Yeah it will be interesting. I think the hybrid blacks head will explode. My hope is that with the # of tangs no one will be a target all of the time. I will name my tank Thunder Dome, oh wait that implies many will go in, few will come out.. better come up with something else.
