My red tail still in the drip process to reach my tank salinity. I will be soon at home to see it and put in my tank. Wife told that the fish will not fit well in the aclimation box that we have.

So are you going to just release it? put in sump until it has time to adjust? maybe build something out of eggcrate and zip ties (ahmmm, not saying I know anything about doing this...).

I can put in my sump, but I have a six line and scopes tang too. But maybe will be good idea. I need to put a container with sand.

I fed mine this morning.

Both the cleaner and the red tail appeared to eat. I guess I need to put a towel down and lay down and watch the tank closer so I can know for sure. I'm putting my QT mix in which is a mix of PE Calanus, Hikary (Mega-Marine, Mysis and Spirulina Brine) mixed with SELCO boost, Selcon, General Cure and using Focus to bind it. They do dart around especially the cleaner. The red tail is lazier but does appear to go after stuff. I just can't tell for sure w/out getting closer to the tank.

Attempted to feed mine this afternoon, didn't really go after much. I think it's sad that it's confined to this acclimation box lol

Good to hear they are eating Steve.
I bought a large fish trap and put it into the tank this afternoon. Before I even had the chance to put bait in there, the Naoko was swimming around inside. Got em!
So after feeding the redtail Tamarin again inside the acclimation box, I released him into the tank about 30 minutes ago. Hes just peacefully exploring the tank right now.

How are your redtails doing?
Mine is fitting in just fine in our aquarium. He eats along with the rest of the fish anytime I throw food in.

My tamarin seems fine. eats when I throw food in. this morning the cleaner didn't come out. I nudged him some. He came out swam around for a bit then went back to hiding. I'm thinking he is a goner.

I added a lineatus to the mix today. He is eating and swimming round with the tamarin.
