OK we are now a while into it...so here the latest videos , I am having a bit of aptasia (but have a thriving copperband and a trigger :)) and some brown algea...but I am going to roll with the punches and let it biologically grow....
The UV filter + the reefmat are awesome, refugium is doing it's thing and have I think the apex dialed in....water station is up and running and thanks to Carlos have a smooth water in water out process...after going to moody gardens ....I loved the jelly fish tanks...but I promised my son his mantis shrimp tank next...(I should have bought a classic spots car....this hobby is expensive !).
Anywho enjoy the latest videos, as always comments , recoomendations are always welcome!

Ok it has been a while , so here another update on the tank , I LOVE my reefmat, got an awesome stone from the Austin Aquarium shop that I have now populated...a bit of brown algea but you know what its ok ....I am thinking of possible changing lights , but am scared to do it simply because the tank is doing so well ....
And yes ladies and gentleman , I have the unicorn fish....a STRONG aptasia eating copperband ! ...so much so I have a mini tank with aptasias on the side where I take out his 'feeder' rocks ....just to keep him happy....he cleans the rest...shoutout also to my star fish eating crabs and my affectionally knicknamed 'tank' urchin who everyknight bulldozes everything in his walkabout for food (I had to pretty much glue everything down to make sure he wouldn't topple things....
As always pointers, and help appreciated ....and as per my APEX ....STILL can't reset anything so doing old school 20 % water changes every 2 weeks and 2 % daily with my water set up and some markers on the tank to do this (yep did math hehehe)....
Thinking about maybe just getting rid of the entire APEX system alltogether and maybe go all out Red Reefer system ....

Hi All, I owed you an updated video of the office tank, it is not really a pleasure to see it grow, see the fish thrive as well as all my leathers and other animals...I finally got my APEX to be mine (as in admin) but now it wont' dose, but with my 20 % water changes with my water system I am ok with that!
I am debating to change the lights but the tank is doing so well...on these radeons and my 2 t5 light bulbs (and I have 2 more to spare....) ....
As always any observations/ideas are welcome

You could do what I do, which is nothing - I just consider them part of the CUC.

Your nudis might not necessarily be good nudibranchs. There are zoa eating nudis, monti pora nudis... Unless you bought berghia for aiptasia specifically then I doubt thats what they are. They can only survive on aiptasia and will melt in a few days if no aiptasia is available for them to eat. Try to get a picture of one.

Well its a small nudi like the berghias I put in a while ago and it has a small purple line in the middle...first one I am seeing though will try to capture a photo of it, now my copperband has been my unicorn fish, yep its a aptasia eating copperband and he is the one supposed to keep the tank clean...
I also seed the tank every 2 weeks with pods...and have my refugium below teeming with macro algea ....and my son did put in some brine shrimp in the sump (he was feeding his anemone tank...and had some to spare ) ...maybe it came from there but can't seem to find any under the blue light (which is when they really light up...will try a picture later today when i am watching f1 , then my loon cycle should be up ....

Good nudi or bad nudi?
Good if berghia and money maker if you have lots. If you put some in then chances are thats what it is. If your aiptaisia is slowing going away then its the berghia eating the aiptasia more then your fish... suck one out with a pipette and put it in a container with a small aiptasia and a zoa poly. Come back later and you'll know for sure. ;)

Well I have my aptasia Eating Copper band and these bergias have been busy going at it, I don't see any aptasia in my tank , I do keep my mini with 'infested' rocks hande because I swap the rock in and out as they get 'cleaned' that way the ....so I thought....Copperband was having his fill....but guess I also fostered the Bergias to keep thriving...mind you I only have seen 1 (this one) but guess it is a remanant of bergias I seeded way back in september (look at my posts here from then) ....and they have just established themselves would be nice they could stay alive as aptasia grows sufficiently to not be a pest but still be a food source...
In any case...if people do have issues with aptasia and want to come on over help me get him so it works for your tank I am all about helping the community of MARSH....
My son already read your post and was lets get an aptasia riddled tank and start selling nudi's hahahah but he forgets the maintenance ....
Anyways let me know if anyone wants /needs them I live in Pasadena across the belt towards La porte (close to the convention center) if you want to come fish for it and take it home to help you....now I know it is a bergia I put a rock from my mini with aptasia in the tank so he can munch on them :)
