Haven’t posted in awhile. Been dealing with some issues with the tank. I went out of town for a week and had someone watch my take. Due to a miss communication half a large bottle of ab+ was added to the tank two days into my trip. Needless to say my skimmer went crazy haha. When I got home tank was stressed. I put in new carbon, gfo, cleaned skimmer, and did a water change. apparently I put to much gfo in and been busy with my new job I stripped to much out of the tank. Ugh so tank is really stressed but slowly bringing nitrates back up. Over all tank still looks mostly okay. Some LPS and a couple sps colonies have bleached so we will see.

Beautiful tank! Had my grandma take care of my tank while I was gone for a week... terrible idea. I hope all the bleached colonies make a full and speedy recovery!!

If this is what your tank looks like when it's not doing well, you're doing something right!

As some of y’all may know I’ve been dealing with tank issues since going on vacation. I’m still dealing with issues haha due to a new job, my wife getting COVID, and me with sinus infection, apex salinity prob died, calibration issues with reactor after getting line clogged, and low nutrients in the tank, I’ve been pretty exhausted to say the least. Hopefully, I can turn this around without a complete reboot. But if not I was getting tired of the scape anyway 🤣

Oh man sorry to hear. I feel for yah. Haven’t dealt with COVID but all the rest yep. I’m thinking I will be looking for a new job come MayJune. I work for IT outsourcing company and they have decided to ramp up 24x7 coverage out of India.

Thanks, Yeah, I was working for an MSP but we got bought out after the covid stuff started and the new company took over so I decided to leave. I am now working IT for the VA Hospital downtown but it's a temporary assignment so I'll have to see what's next.

Sorry to hear about all your tank and non-tank issues. I hope things will turn around soon.

Maybe it's time for you to get the 540 gallon tank that just went up for sale haha. That would give you a lot of new aquascaping options!
Haha too bad I'm poor. I'll take donations @frankc

So here is the new scape for now. I might change the zoa garden on the left side but for now it will stay.
You gonna put some rocks in that tank or have a sand farm?

Nope that probably all the rock I will have last setup the rock work was to high and had issues with flow and sps growing towards the top. I like having an open tank concept for flow and swimming area for the fish. In the past I always did a lot of rock and I just want to do something new. Design is pretty much the same as last time but now the towers are shorter.
