Forgive my ignorance... why is this regulator necessary?

It controls how much carbon dioxide comes out of the CO2 tank.

My old regulator didn't have a solenoid to turn off and on the C02 gas when needed which is controlled by the PH meter/controller. So I finally had the funds to upgrade.

December Update

Yes, I am aware the Birdnest is bleached out. I have added a diffuser and shade over the coral. Coral still has great polyp extension hoping it can bounce back.


That birdsnest ain't bleached. That sucker looks dead.
