INTRODUCTION
What This Build Is:

Anemone clown harem.

What This Build Is NOT:
The "cube" is 36x24x24. Still a cube though, but the Borg probably wouldn't approve.

Goals:
This is my second build thread alongside my 250 gallon mixed reef build (SPS Dominant). My goal with this tank is to grow and breed BTA's while trying my hand at carpets, maxi mini's, and more. I eventually would like to try and breed clownfish as well, but that's for another discussion...

EQUIPMENT

Water Boxes

  • SCA 90g Cube (36x24x24)
  • Trigger Ruby 30

Filtration/Life Support

  • EShopps Eclipse L Overflow
  • BRS Reef Saver (70-80lb)
  • Tropic Eden Aragavive Reef flakes (80lb)
  • Marine Pure Block (Sitting in my 250g sump)
  • Finnex HPG 300w Heater
  • Tunze Osmolator 3155 ATO

Lights

  • Aquatic Life T5HO LED Hybrid
  • (2) Radion XR15 XR30
  • T5 Bulbs (Not sure of combination yet)
    • Coral+
    • Purple +
    • Blue +
    • True Actinic
Video Journal
Just like my H-Town build thread, this thread will document my progress primarily through video format. I'll always post my videos here directly when the video specifically covers something about the Borg cube. - Aaron's Aquatics

Current Project - 6/27/2018
I'll be running a bean animal overflow, however SCA only builds larger tanks for durso methods. I'm having custom work done to the tank to remove the internal center overflow box, seal the bottom drilled holes, and drill new back facing holes.

Looking forward to this one!

Just as a side note about the work your having done.. I don't know why tank builders don't get the whole bean animal thing (or even herbie..). I am amazed that they are still building durso style overflows.. i get it for freshwater.. but reeftanks.. it baffles me.

Agreed! I have durso on my 250g and wish I didn't. The changes over to bean animal have already been completed and the tank should be here Wed:

**EDIT** Also, why are my images so small? XD

They attach as thumbnails - me dislikes certain things about this software :suspicious:, you should be able to double click them and change size either before you save or by editing afterwards.

Or use external image storage.

Update 7/11/2018 - The tank is here!!!

Everything arrived in good condition. There's a wobble on the stand, so i'm going to have to address that. I'll push it closer to the wall after I finish plumbing.

I decided to do a live stream when it arrived (as well as when I acclimated/dipped my bounce shrooms):
