Years ago when I use to bow hunt we had scent blocker shirts and pants that had carbon in them to block our scent and to reactivate them we had to put them in the dryer to eliminate the scent. My question here is can we reuse carbon from our carbon reactors by drying it out then baking it in the oven for say 1hr 30 min at 350. To get rid of what it had absorbed from our tanks.

I've read that its possible, but supposedly it is not worth the trouble considering the relatively low cost of carbon. And it is also supposed to really turn your oven foul.

As a fellow bow hunter I never subscribed to the whole scent blocker theory using carbon or the like. Instead I just made a "tea" of what ever leaves and foliage grew in the area and liberally spritz it all over myself. It helps that there is alot of juniper where I hunt and that stuff is pretty strong smelling.

Helps if you roll in the mud a couple of times too. I have a wood stove and cook my carbon in there. My wood stove gets so hot it melts aluminum pots.
