Okay this guy must be doing it for publicity-in the previous videos he’s insinuating that fritz caused his tank crash now he’s having lunch with fritz rep.

Why unsubscribe? I don't think that he did it for publicity. I think Fritz is there to clear up their name to make sure that people know it was not there salt that killed Rico tank.

That’s exactly why they’re there. Money. They will loose sales. If they didn’t show up and try to prove themselves right, I bet their sales would be impacted by 50% or more.

Yep, basically said Fritz was the reason indirectly about 100x.

:) I bet that was one awkward lunch.

I mean bad batches happen right? He prob had one. Don’t have to knock down the whole company. And then practically make up with them the next day. And don’t get me started on the icp live stream. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t icp like professionally done? Like I’d trust that way more than Hanna’s ( which I’ve had my alk Hanna crap out on me). What my dad says is that say if ur icp says you have 480 ppm for cal and ur test kit say 450ppm then you know you have a 30ppm gap and adjust to that.
Idk could be just me and my dad, but icp uses the pro equipment that I’m pretty sure cost as much as his tank why not trust?

Last night was the weirdest live stream ever. This dude just had a major tank crash and lost more than 10K of corals. Then goes on to say how he’s a veteran reefer and how he got lucky that things “just worked for him” (talking smack and being cocky about it) showing his setup with his huge calcium reactor and all the equipment. Then proceeds to give all this advice like his tank never skipped a beat. I was thinking to myself like...dang...this guy is so stuck on himself and worried about making money on YouTube that he doesn’t even realize what just happened or maybe he’s in denial or something. I mean his tank literally just had a major crash...wouldn’t that be an indication to relax a little and discuss things like how to prevent this in the future instead of boast about yourself.

Tristian’s reef just crashed too:

Totally agree.

The only reason why a lot of people do not like ICP’s is because they feel the quality control is not there. The machines apparently aren’t cleaned or calibrated in between testing which could result in skewed numbers.

A few guys have sent off several tests with all the companies at the same time. Like ICPAnalysis.com, Triton, & ATI. Yet all came back with very different results.

I think it depends when they actually perform the testing. I think if they all tested on the same day at the same time it would be different. Or if they could test within 24 hours that would be great. 12 hours would be better.

For me....I’m looking for anything like heavy metals or elevated minor & trace elements that could crash my tank. As far as Cal Alk and Mag...I’m not worried. I also feel that I can get very accurate results from some of my test kits. Or at least close enough within range to keep my tank from dying. I trust my Hanna Alk & PO4. I trust Nyos NO3 the low end card and use Salifert for the high end. I like Red Sea for Cal and AF for mag.

If this is the case and your corals looks great then I wouldn’t change a thing. Pick a testing method/company and stick with it.

Aka there is no chlorine in our salts, we pull out chlorine from our rodi, so why would we put it back in?

Possibly not using chloramine buster carbon blocks I’m guessing
