I dont know if this is possible or not or if its even worth it but is it possible to change the front glass to sapphire glass.

With enough $$$$ you can accomplish a lot of things! LOL
A custom build will get you anything. However, for that size, I would get an acrylic tank with museum polish and it will look better.
When I had an Advanced Acrylics frag tank, it looked simply gorgeous.
