Skimmer ? (1 Viewer)

So I picked up this coralvue Reef Octopus Prime 200 internal this past week up north and today as I'm looking at it I think something's wrong and I'm hoping you can help me figure this out. Or the silence or sit on top of the pipe the cut out is smaller than the pipe so it does not sit flush. This is not normal right? Here is a picture or two to help explain what I'm trying to say. Got a 2 inch hole saw and re drilled it and it fits like a glove!

Yes sir, i was originally set on the emerald 39 or the tideline 48 but now i see the error in my ways. nice skimmer though lol
