just got second oppinion on test:

Nitrite is high
ammonia is high



what should I do now. they reccomended to just let the water cycle...............???????????/

I would let the biological filtration (bacteria) catch up to the bio load and convert as much as it can to nitrates. A quick fix but a costly one would be to do lots of water changes every time the levels get too high. I wouldn't add anything more until you have your water chemistry under control. If you still have the sump set up I would try to add some caulerpa to it for nutrient export help.

What do you have in the tank right now? What test kits where you using that gave you good readings?

Algae may crash too, your past posts say your fuge went TU a while back.
How long did this tank cycle before you put corals/fish in it???

right now fish only.

the tank cycled 1.5 years before I put the fuge on.......the fuge went on 3 weeks ago.

generic test kit.......40 bucks......uses packets

You need to do water changes if there are fish in the tank to get the amonia down.
