Are y’all the only ones that can hear snails tapping on your glass at night time? I’ve heard them for years. You can hear them from the other side of the room.

“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—

Only this and nothing more.”

Is that why my nitrates are so high?

I can hear mine rattling rocks around if I stay up super late, between 2-4 in the morning the tank becomes a hustle and bustle.

Yeah I don’t know why they do it or how it happens. I can’t ever run to the tank in time. Are they stuck to the glass and hitting it with the bottoms of their shells or next to it and tapping with the sides?

Every time I hear it it's my blue legged crabs and they're scurrying around next to the glass.

I always hear it from my hermits climbing up the silicon edges and falling off, my turbo and astrea snails have never made noise as far as I can remember

Maybe your snails are into tapdancing. My Trochus snails seem to love getting their shells polished by my mp40 blades. They also seem to enjoy base jumping off the rock, I hear them smack the bottom of the glass every night.

I have a wrasse that knocks on my glass day or night. Doesn't bother me too much though.
