funny thing.. the jaebo DP-4 uses the EXACT same menu systems as the Aquamedic Reef Doser Evo 4. I like the Aquamedic better since the controller is cabled to the box. I like the DP-4 price better...

Although wifi/web interface would be even better.
I just hate the controls are on the top. Make mounting it a little less nice.

Yup. Hate that as well. Stupid to have to lift the whole unit up to change settings. Its up under my frag tank.

But I didn't want to spend another $239 on an EVO 4 when the Jaebo's are like $66...

I totally get it. I thought about just ordering the Jebao dual as it has the screen on the front for now. I'm only dosing Kalk but might not be in the future.

Im thinking of picking up a jebao. I just wish they had a better way to program it "I E web interface"
Yeah you're not getting web interface for that price. I know multiple people that have used them long term with no issues. I don't recall why I originally got it, but it never saw much action. It has been on point for the short time I've used it though.

I originally ordered the t5 retrofit kit during blavk Friday and it sat in my closet ever since. Decided to put it to work and make a little progress on my fish room.

Built another hanging fixture for t5s and black boxes

Painting and drying. I started using a roller, but ended up using spray paint from the can to finish. I'm much better with spray paint than a roller, and I didn't want to make the full spray tent like I did for my display stand and canopy.

Painted the shelf and hung the turn buckles.

Test hanging. Works just as planned.

Time to wire up some bulbs. Just missing the leds now.

Up and working. The tank to the right will use the floating canopy that's currently over my 60 cube. Just gotta get the tanks consolidated then I'll switch it over.

Also found my first hitchhiker from the Tampa bay live rock. He's a nasty little fella ;) About as big as a nickel

I had an old jebao sitting around. It's a temporary fix. Plus I set the dang thing up before I went out of town. Never make an adjustment to your tank within two weeks of you leaving town. I broke the rule and it worked out fine this time. It's hurt me bad in the past though.

Made that mistake as well and set this up as my third eye while out of town.

Very nice custom camera holders. My rule of two weeks is more so to cover user or equipment error. Maybe I didn't set something correctly. Or maybe I added a new piece of equipment and I need to observe it for a couple weeks to make sure any potential kinks might be worked out. I have cameras too but they won't help me much in that department.

I completely agree. 60 gal ato reservoir container was added a few days prior to leaving. Cameras were and still are strategically placed to monitor water level in sump, alkatronic screen, and ato reservoir, in case the atk just felt like creating a brackish tank.

Nah it's coral plus and blue plus. I hadn't discovered the purple plus bulbs when I ordered them. The only reason I ever got the purple plus was because a mistake on the retailers part. Figured I'd experiment with it since I already had it.

I think the coral+ is a better bulb because it's a mix of 3 I believe. It's a really white bulb...(even for me). It looked more dark purple so I figured it was a purple+ or Fiji Pink.

Yeah the coral plus is a stand alone bulb, and I'll probably keep it over that tank. With only two bulbs, a coral plus does a lot of heavy lifting on the spectrum.

I think I'm going to finally consolidate tanks tomorrow. I'm tired of maintaining four systems.
