Mines pretty smoothly ramping up today. At 8.52 at the moment. I was a little worried that might be too high, but I went and read the Randy Holmes Farley article on high ph. In it he says his tank at the time ran 8.3-8.5 no problem. Now, I need to set up the trident. Let’s see how that goes. I have no idea where I’m going o put this stuff in my fish room. It’s too dang crowded!
Yikes! Getting a little high at 8.6. The lights are about to finish peak though then it should start going down. My calcium reactor is at 6.6.you probably have way more tank/water agitation than I do also. Due to the multiple systems. What PH are you keeping in the reactor?
Yeah that’s a fair point. The Milwaukee uses a 4 and 7 ph calibration. Not sure how that translates to something out of that range. However, it’s strange that the Milwaukee and salifert pretty much matched while the apex was WAY higher. I saved the calibration fluid for the apex and tested the probe against them. Both were .6 high, but the solutions weren’t sealed and I didn’t rinse with RO in between yesterday, so some cross contamination could have happened. I don’t know. I’ll order more apex calibration and see how that does.Wow, but you already re calibrated the unit and its still off? You calrx ph probe was probably also calibrated with the lower solution
