Great progress so far.

Have you seen these AC units in actions - it comes pre-loaded with freon. My buddy put one in his garage and it works great.

I’ve seen them but I don’t want to start cutting through the brick. Plus, I don’t know how my HOA would react to that being visible from the street. Well, I could cover it up, but you know what I mean. The window units are just cheaper, easier, and quicker.

Hanging is no big deal. The finish work is the problem.

Is that the new way of doing it? Must work wonders for your insulation/temperature control!

@Cody Are you going to insulate the walls?
Of course! Same as my current room, I’m using R-19 in the new walls and R-30 above the new room.

With a lot of help from @EJYSetch i got the inside drywall hung today! Now I’ve gotta throw in the insulation then hang the outside drywall.

It’s hard to find any Square D breakers these days, but I finally found one at Ace hardware (after wasting hours) and officially installed my first new breaker today! It’s up and running and no hiccups yet! Luckily, a friend is an electrician and he walked me through the process. It’s one of those things like drilling a tank. It makes you very nervous your first time but it’s actually very easy.

This is on the inside of the fish room. I put another outlet below it facing out so that I can use it in the garage. You can never have enough outlets.

Next step is insulation then exterior drywall.

Insulation done! Home Depot switched brands and this stuff is brown and ugly. I miss the pink panther insulation!

Outside drywall hung. My neighbor helped me and I wish he would have helped earlier. He recommended using my reciprocating saw instead of a hand drywall saw to cut the drywall. The reciprocating saw made perfect, clean cuts. Unfortunately, I didn’t start using it until today and I already kinda jacked up my other three electrical outlet holes. Oh well, lesson learned!
