Brackets done and ready to be sanded.

Only got a picture of the top, but sanded and ready to go. Painting will be on Wednesday. Gotta make the paint tent again like I did for the stand.

Nice day outside today. Not too cold so I better get to painting.

I'll do the same white primer and black paint that I used on the stand.

Top part primed too. I probably won't start painting it tonight. There are a couple of blemishes that I need to hand sand out with maybe some 600 grit sandpaper. I'll let it dry over night to make sure it takes the sand well.

While I was waiting between each coat drying, I made a little stand to sit on top of my tank while installing the canopy. It will be exactly 10" off of my tank. The canopy won't be adjustable for height, which will be a pain, but it will look super clean once installed. I'm going with style over comfort for this floating canopy.

The height where the lights will be mounted. I love the height and I should be able to get anywhere in the tank that I want to go. I have a wide wingspan so it works out.

looking great @Cody ... eta on getting it wet?

Christmas is the goal. I could get it wet tomorrow, but I'm wanting to get the drilling into the studs done before it's saltwater that I'm gonna use. The goal is to be finished with lights and water by Christmas, not just wet. I still need a few Chinese black boxes, but I can get it up and cycling with the just the t5s for now.

My tank just came in. You better put it into overdrive. I work the next two nights and after that....Don't blink.

Just waiting on a fair opportunity for you or Steve ;)

Tied up tomorrow for painting my canopy, but it should be finished Saturday and hung by Sunday. My plumbing has been ready to go for a couple weeks. Just waiting on the canopy. Tick tock, tick tock......
