looks nice. next time you need something metal cut. let me know, i got a cnc in the garage
What kind of cnc? I have a cnc router, and I understand I can route aluminum, but I’ve never tried. I got to play with a plasma cutter in college and that was amazing!

my buddy had an xcarve. it was very nice. He was able to make a ton of pretty cool things with it. The software was pretty intuitive compared to traditional cadcam software for programming cnc milling machines.

My machines are made more for metal. I had a side gig making enclosures for a local business. Business dried up during covid. I haven't mess with the machines in a while.

the wife is complaining that she wants to park in the garage again. So might sell of the machines and shut down the side hustle.

Getting trim up. After that, a little sealing and then paint. After that, clear out some room and then start the fish room expansion.

I also took these shelves from the garage and installed them in the storage shed.

Cat tax. She has been inspecting my work throughout the whole process with a thorough sniffing.

Hey, that beer can in picture #9 either needs to be on ice or in your hand. That alcohol abuse man!

Great job on the build! I'm waiting for my kids to grow up and leave the nest so I can have more room.

Thanks! Oh that’s an empty can. Instead of recycling them through the build, I’ve just decided to throw the Coke Zero and beer cans in a pile next to the wood scraps littering my back yard. I’ll take a pic tomorrow so y’all can see the travesty haha

This is just general storage. Once you see what I’m building in my garage, you’ll see why I need the extra room. I already have a decent wood/acrylic shop and it’s going to get congested pretty quick.

Almost there. Everything was sealed with silicone and painted. I also got the window that I use for my fish room during winter months installed. I still need to move the external door from my fish room over once I take down the old fish room. Also, I’m going to install some exterior shelves for plants to sit on so it looks nicer. Also, I’m going to run electricity to it for the lights and to have an outlet inside.

In addition, I will install four of these 2” recessed led lights under the front soffit just to give it a little pizzazz. I might even do one of those fancy smart switches on them too so I can set up light schedules and turn it on and off without going outside.

How munch do you think your electricity bill is going to increase?
For what? The storage or the fish room expansion? I’m not terribly concerned either way. I’m disgustingly rich. Like, trust fund Bezos rich. I work just so I can relate to y’all serfs. The stresses of a working person have always fascinated me.
