I have recently decided to pull the trigger on doing my first aquarium and I want to go all out and do a reef tank. I think it will be slow moving due to the fact that I don't have a money tree but I'm pretty excited and wouldn't mind some pointers along the way.

Thank you. This is a pretty cool group. I bought an aqueon 90 gallon with an overflow.

Built it with holes drilled. I also bit a pretty cool used stand. I'm trying to post a picture but I'm having issues.

If this is the one with the overflow off center my son has the same one.

Decent, sturdy first tank.

In the chamber on the left I plan on doing a clip on filter sock and a skimmer. A refugium in the middle. I want to rig some kind of platform in-between the two baffles on the right to run some carbon and the return pump and heaters in the Chamber on the right.

After I finish the sump I guess my next step is the plumbing which I'm a little unsure about. The tank came with the bulkheads and pipe that goes in the overflow but the bulkheads are for tubing and not pvc so I'm thinking I should get new bulkheads so I can hard plumb it in.

What are you wanting to keep in your tank?
