So far no leaks other than the lock line so need to deal with that here in a bit.

Switched the loc line out with some 1” black 45° fittings. What a difference in flow it makes. Had to crank down the returns.

Found one drip on the drains, cranked the union tighter. So far drip hasn’t returned.

Come to think of it, this is the first time water has actually been circulating in this thing in 3 maybe four years. I forget.

@Gregg when did we have the meeting at your work location? I bought the tank from Fish Gallery in the Galleria area on my way home from that.

Water Exchange. Going to try to mount this in the laundry room but may be a bit to loud.

It definitely would be more convenient than mounting it out in the fish room. Also helps avoid a stupid long aquabus cable.

Mine does make a lot of noise. Also I found that the lines leading to it need to be at equal length.
The more similar the length of the tubing the better. Even if the distances aren't the same, use similar lengths of tubing and roll up the one that doesn't need to be as long.

I'm not familiar with this simply because I don't have one, but what is the benefit of it being equal length?

The two peristaltic pump heads are on the same axle, so as one spins, the other spins the same amount. What tends to be a problem is friction with the water in the pipe, varying heights, or a few other things that can ever so slightly reduce the efficiency of one of the pump heads versus the other. The most important thing is that however you set it up, it will consistently be the same amount off.

To remedy this, you will find that slightly elevating or lowering the salinity of the water in your storage container will compensate for this. The pump doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be consistent. The dual head stenner is extremely consistent. Over the course of maybe two months, your salinity might move up or down one ppm, but that can't be attributed to the pump. The skimmer is taking out water, your arms are dripping water out, bagging up corals, etc.

Kind of a bummer to be draining it back down.

Did you water your lawn with that water or top off the pool?

Nothing much to report. Got some parts in, hope to work on getting the Vortech’s mounted and the Apex hooked up.

Got the 2 x ethernet cables run, 4 x 1/4" tubing run, Stenner and EB4 mounted in fishroom.

APEX - Firmware updated and linked in Fusion. Still have to hook up another EB8 (lighting) and the EB4 (fish room for stenner and a few other things) then I can start configuring.

Did you figure out the stenner?
