Anyone have any input or opinions on what to stock a 10g with? I would like to see some acans and zoas. Some fish maybe? (no tangs) what did you do? Thanks. Go Astros!!
Corals for sure. As far as fish go, get a goby pair of your favorite type. Or go one step further and add a red stripe pistol shrimp to dig for the gobies.
I just bought a pair of gobies and a pistol shrimp for $80 from divers den.
Go 'stros
agree. You're going to have to keep it very very minimal for a 10g. Gobies are good as they don't produce a lot of waste. Nutrient control will be your biggest challenge in a 10g. Even feeding your corals in a 10g will be tough. Plan on a lot of water changes.
Clown gobies, neon gobies, or percula/ocellaris clowns. Of course you should only have 1-2 fish unless you get a skimmer or a HOB refugium. The more water volume the better!
Thank you for the suggestions. Plan is to start with some lps (zoas and so on) and the gobies discussed above. I figured a bubble tip would move around too much and mess with zoas and whatever. I will try to add some montis, acro etc. once everything gets settled. But first I have set it all up and get cycling..
