Stuff growing on my rock (1 Viewer)

i've notice that these little pipe looking thing are grow like cray all over my rock. like thousand of father duster are growing everywhere is this bad?

I don't think they are dangerous to your corals but some folks think they are unsightly. Its your call...

it's every where in my tank and even in my sump . plus everytime i go to move some thing in my tank i always seem to get poked by it aand start bleeding i hate it how do i get ride of them . make them stop growing

Then it is not the feather dusters that I thought of.
Those have a very soft tube that would not poke you.
I assumed you were talking about the white ones?

The red ones have a harder tube.
The only way I know to get rid of them is to add a fish that eats them.
Some people should chime in on what fish they bought that eats there dusters away.

Those are not feather dusters, they are vermetid snails. Hermits are the best remedy I ever dealt with (in fact, keeping vermetid snails in check may be their only use) Vermetids can be very nasty. I lost an oregon tort because they grew all over the coral and through the skeleton! Yes, they are snails even though they don't move and are attached to the rock. The tell tail sign of a vermetid snail is the web like structure protruding from the tips of the snails.

I agree with mpwolken, vermetid's can be a real pain. Try the hermits.
