Hi, didn't know where to post this so please feel free to move if this is the wrong spot.
First time setting up a sump and was hoping to get some help. I have a 125gallon tank with an internal overflow and I'm using a current usa eflux 6010 pump. Think max on that pump is 1900 gph. I plumbed a herbie style sump and have it up and running. I set up the emergency drain about 1" below the weir based on some stuff I read online (pic attached). I have my pump set at probably 30% because if I go any stronger than that then I can hear the water falling/splashing from the display into the overflow pretty loudly.
Is 30% on this pump enough turnover? Seems pretty slow. If not, and i want to keep my tank silent,, should I cut another emergency drain pipe thats maybe half an inch taller so the water has less height to fall and hopefully doesn't splash?
Thanks in advance
