As most know my tank leaked on me and I had to put all 120 lbs of LR into a Rubber Maid tub with some powerheads for about a week. I also put my LS into another rubber maid tub with some water to keep it wet.
Now, this is the question because I found this quite odd.
Its been a week or so since I put the LR and LS back into the tank by itself cycling. Then This past Friday I added 75 lbs of TBS rock and then measured my ammonia later that night and it was off the charts.
Then saturday I measured again and it was still high. Then suddenly Sunday it dropped to .5 then today it dropped to 0.

Anyone have any clues why?
I though my Petsmart test was off, so I went and bought a Salifert Ammonia test and it also read 0. Anyone have any ideas?
Is this possible?

When you put the rocks back in the tank, you stired up some debri and other such things which may have caused a slight temporary spike. Most of your stuff has cycled already. Same thing usually happens when tanks are set up and people play around with their rockwork and things.
